The majority of our teen and adult students started with no previous martial arts experience. They come to our school for a variety of reasons ranging from exercise and stress relief to learning self defense or gaining self confidence.
We have Kendo Classes on Monday starting at 6:40pm and Friday starting at 5:50pm. Classes are open to new members at any time!
Illinois Kendo Club is a member of the Midwest Kendo Federation(MWKF) and the All United States Kendo Federation(AUSKF) affiliated with the International Kendo Federation(FIK).

About our Kendo Instructor,

Dr. Sung Moon Lee

Dr. Lee graduated with a Ph.D. in Sports & Leisure Studies from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea with a major in Korean Cultural History & Philosophy.  
 
Dr. Lee teaches Kendo at Tiger Koo's Martial Arts - Lake in the Hills location and the kendo group's official name is Illinois Kendo Club.
